Organosulfur is a sulfur-containing compound, which is stably combined with heavy metal ions through chalcogenide and chemically reacted to form a stable organometallic compound, which is not easy to dissolve, and forms a solid precipitate in an aqueous solution, which is then separated and removed. This is a stoichiometric reaction. In the heavy metal group, the heavy metal compounds formed by mercury and cadmium have the lowest solubility. In the wet flue gas desulfurization, organic sulfur is mainly used as a sedimentation agent for heavy metals in wastewater.
